Situated 2 miles west of Pickering - home of the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway. We are situated on the very edge of the North Yorkshire Moors so a great base for walkers.  The cottage is 30 minutes from Scarborough & Whitby, 10 minutes from Flamingo Land, 40 minutes from the City of York. Goathland (Heartbeat country) is 11 miles away en route to Whitby. Dalby forest - complete with Go Ape and some challenging cycle routes is also only 10 minutes away. The village pub The Buck Inn is a mere 2 minute walk away with another one, The Middleton Arms a 20 minute walk or a 3 minute drive, both serve fab home cooked food and are pet friendly.
